My partner and I enjoyed a wonderful, cozy, and comfortable anniversary stay at Bells Beach Lookout. The house has a beautiful ocean view and is just a short drive from the charming town of Langley. The space was inviting and relaxing, with everything we needed for a much-needed peaceful getaway. It was the perfect home base for unwinding, enjoying the coast, and exploring the local shops and restaurants in town. We also loved our visit to Earth Sanctuary for some meditation and time in nature. Communication with the owners was quick and easy, and check-in and logistics were all very simple. We will absolutely stay again!

Providing accessible, dog-friendly spaces on Whidbey Island
Hello! My name is Vanessa, my husband is Eric, and we have a daughter in college and a Husky-German Shepherd mix dog named Happy at home.I grew up in Washington and Eric grew up in Michigan and Wyoming.
We bonded over our love of the natural world and our interest in spending time by the water and near tall trees. We loved Whidbey Island and over the years we have invested in two very different properties in the south end of the island.
Both have beautiful views of the mountains and water - elements that bring us joy and fill our hearts. Our passion is to provide vacation opportunities that create lasting memories. Both of our homes are accessible (ADA compliant) and dog friendly.

Don't just take our word for it—hear from families, groups, and travelers who've stayed with us.
I couldn't believe my luck when I came across this listing. I was looking to get out of the city with my dog. I wanted to be in the woods, but with beach access and a short walk/drive to good coffee. I figured I'd have to compromise on one of those desires, but then I found this listing. First, it's a GORGEOUS house. Floor to ceiling window facing the water, beautifully decorated, and the bed might be the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. The kitchen was well equipped, as was the house in general. It's clear the hosts put a lot of thought into what a traveler might need while staying there (they even left dog toys and pet potty bags (which was nice because I ran out!) The area was PERFECT. Enough away from "town" that I didn't feel like a tourist, but close enough it was easy to do some shopping, and grab a bite to eat. The best part though was the hiking trail behind the house that heads all the way down to the water. It's a little steep, but I'm not an expert hiker and I did just fine and my dog absolutely loved it! I'm always a little stressed traveling with my dog, even though he's a good boy and potty trained — but Hillside Haven was perfect for a pet companion. The floors are cement so paw prints don't show and there's plenty of room outside to run around and sniff. My dog loved sitting in the big window watching the deer (there are a lot of deer) and bunnies run past. The neighbors were all lovely as well! (Unlike some places who seem to resent having a vacation home on their block.) One neighbor offered me pears from their tree! I worried the house might be too big for a solo traveler, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I mostly kept to the main floor, other then to use the well equipped laundry room upstairs, and it was the perfect retreat. I read, I wrote, I cooked. I stared at the water for hours. I felt my shoulders finally relax. I was the perfect week to unwind and get centered. Just me and my dog. The hosts were communicative, but not overwhelming. There's a great welcome book with personal recommendations from them (and for the most part, I agreed! You must get the scones mentioned in the book!) I would absolutely book this stay again! Five stars from start to finish!
There aren't too many rental that are ADA friendly in the Puget Sound area. This i the one of the very best. For a family of 6 adults, the home filled every need. A large kitchen where 3 daughters prepared meals. Very good for wheelchairs or walkers. If good health is maintain, we will be back. The weather was perfect - not too hot, not to cool.
Beautiful home that sits on a hill overlooking Puget Sound. The huge windows were great for viewing wildlife and watching the tides go in and out. We especially enjoyed the trails to take a hike right out the front door of the home. The patio and outside landscape were gorgeous. As for the inside of the home it had all the amenities we needed and was super clean. We look forward to staying at Hillside Haven again!!
It was our third year at Bell’s Beach Lookout. Beautiful home . Amazing deck looking out at the water and mountains. Easy access to the beach and Langley.

This place is amazing! Quiet neighborhood, peaceful, and we even had a bald eagle with babies in the front yard tree! The kitchen had everything you could ask for - spices, tools, utensils - the walk in master bath shower was amazing, and the hot tub was spotless. Beds were very comfy and we loved relaxing on the front deck overlooking the water. We walked the neighborhood each morning and saw some beautiful gardens. Everyone we met was very friendly, we loved it. We will definitely be back.
Incredible getaway- this spot has everything you need. Beautiful location, peaceful and organized. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very thankful for the hosts quick and attentive communication.
